This delightfully colorful cloth character doll is another of my
“Original Design Creations."
Inspired by Johnny Gruelle’s wonderful illustrations of ~ ~ MR. MINKY ~ ~in his Storybook....
Raggedy Ann’s Wishing Pebble
His embroidered facial features capture the devious personality
of this “ornery” little old man that was always trying to steal Raggedy Ann’s candy heart
and ends up stealing her “Magic Pebble”.
LOOK!! Here is Mr. Minky
If you look real close...
you will see that he is clutching Raggedy Ann's Magic Wishing Pebble in his hand!
Great attention to detail has been given to create this adorable 20 inch doll
He has the long nose and wrinkled face with protruding little wrinkled chin
……blue button eyes with grey floss eyebrows that are "individually" knotted "loose hairs".
He has LARGE ears protruding from his adorable pointy green hat, (lined with yellow fabric).
His hat is adorned with a blue hand-made yarn "bauble" on the tip
and a "real" white feather at the side.........
JUST LIKE IN THE STORYBOOK ILLUSTRATIONS!
He is wearing a fully lined red jacket trimmed with “7” yellow buttons,
front and back and on his cuffs.
His jacket also has 3 button holes , and a little square placket in the back
that adds charm to his overall appeal!
His white shirt has a large scalloped collar that overlaps his jacket,
bright yellow knee pants with two tiny navy buttons on each leg.
And brown fleece “elf-style” removeable fleece shoes with pointed toes!
…AND he has a bright multi-colored… striped cumberbun of yellow, orange, red, purple, navy, and green
that ties all the colors of his outfit together!!
He was lots of fun to create…..and he will make a nice addition to any Raggedy Collection.
Mr. Minky is one of the Characters that is often included
on collectible puzzles and other Raggedy items from the past……

Mr. Minky's body has been sturdily constructed with a soft peach fabric
using my own pattern design based on Gruelle’s illustrations of him in
“Raggedy Ann's Wishing Pebble”.
His entire outfit has been meticulously hand sewn with
fabric and styling reminecent of Gruelle’s illustrations of him in “Raggedy Ann's Wishing Pebble”
You will be well pleased by his quality craftmanship!!
He is an Heirloom Quality Collectible Treasure that will add that one-of-a-kind distinction to your collection.

He comes
complete with a dated body tag and a signed heart-shaped hang tag .
