Raggedy Andy typifies kindliness, generosity, sympathy and fun; a happy little creature stuffed with sunshine and wearing a badge of pleasantry, a broad perpetual "smiley" smile and a look of honesty in his shoe button eyes

The first Raggedy Andy Dolls were produced by
Beers-Keeler-Bowman Co. for P.F. VOLLAND in 1920 as a tie-in to
Gruelle's Raggedy Andy Stories.
The book starts out with this letter... Dated January 8,
1919 addressed to Johnny Gruelle: Dear
Johnny:"Click Here to learn how Ann was re-united with her long-lost brother.......
