These are Just a Few of my Customer Letters that I have come to treasure over the years.... it is my pleasure to share them "Here" with you. So that you can read what other satisfied customers have said about my dolls
They are not listed in any particular order........and of course, there is not enough room to share them all, but I try to add a few every now and then.

Dear Gayle, It is rare
today, I feel, when you can purchase
something and say..."It was worth every
penny!" Well, when i laid eyes on Miss
Belindy, those were my exact
thoughts.....VERBATIM! Gayle, she is
soooooo sweet. We have to be somewhat
careful...but I just had a feeling that Belindy
would be worth it. And she was!
Sometime, I would like to see your rendition
of a Knickerbocker Raggedy Ann. Do you
make that style? (60's/70's) If you do,
when you have a few minutes, let me know.
You are a gifted lady. Keep up the
wonderful work you do! God Bless.

Gayle,It's PERFECT!
The Belindy dress and apron arrived today
and are TOO good! Now I have to
find a Belindy that looks brand new to wear
these beautiful clothes!! The
dress and apron fit perfectly and are just
stunning. Seriously, Gayle, the outfit is
beautiful and so well-made. Thank you
so much! It is just amazing what an
original-looking outfit does for this doll.
The little dress I had on her
was in "Belindy colors" but certainly didn't
do anything close to what your
beautiful dress does for her. Gayle,
thank you again for making my Belindy
look "orginal". She's one of my
treasures and you've just made her truly
look like one!

Dear Gayle,Beautiful Beloved Belindy!!!!!!!!
The dress and apron came today, and wait
til you see my Belindy in
them!!!!!!! Thank you so SO VERY
Much!!!!!!! They do fit perfectly
and
Belindy looks like she's fresh from the
factory!! I keep turning to look at
her and I do believe she has an extra
sparkle to her smile now!
I am going to do a big photo shoot this
weekend with our digital and our
35mm. camera. I don't mean this as an
insult, but weren't you the A.T. & T.
worker? I think you should have been
designing dresses and dolls instead.
Her clothes are just fabulous!! I really
appreciate all the hard work and
planning that went into Belindy's dress and
apron.
You really have blessed my day!!
Thank you so much and I hope God
blesses
you too!!
Becky
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so very pleased.
Now I have seen all those beauties posted on Emma's board, I would
rather have you
make me an Ann than just costume it. Still will send fabric, though,
once I choose it.
I'm thinking this:
Mollye pie-cut eyes like the Mollye you made.
Big looped top-knot hair like the dark dressed l950 style Ann.
5 lashes Over the eyes like on the Crooksville plate.
Not fussy about changing shoe or stocking colors. If you have fabric
available you can
do so but not necessary.
Dress will be blue cambric or chambray (not sure which is which)
pantalettes will be red gingham-possibly seersucker
apron will be a fine red/white print, maybe little stars or??? we'll see
what I find
Im sure you'll do great on the doll fair. Wish we had that sort of
thing here.
Love and Hugs Carol

gayle, i received the two western ragedies, they are absolutely beautiful. i
appreciate them very much. the time it took is absurd. i am going to send
payment for the blondes tomorrow. i am going to mail it by some other method.
i'll include some extra money for you to ship it faster. you probably know what
to do better than me, i'll leave that to you. i don't want the expense of next
day air. i will not charge anything over the internet ever again. i went through
a miserable experience that lasted about three years. if you will, email me an
estimate for maybe 2 day.
sincerely, thanx JViviano

Knickerbocker Belindy 7-24-02
Hi Gayle,
Belindy arrived today! Thanks for being so sweet in following her
"journey". As cute as the pictures are they don't do her justice. She's
just as sweet as she can possibly be (& the detail on her is just
wonderful)! What a great "gift" you have! I had an aunt I loved dearly who
was very talented & made handcrafted items too (she never sold anything; she
just made them for family members - it takes such skill & patience & I don't
have either). You're a great "seller", it was such a smooth transaction &
such a pleasure. I would definitely do business with you again & look
forward to seeing future "creations" of yours --
Keep up the good work!!
Sincerely,
Kathy (A satisfied Belindy owner)

Hi Gayle,
My dolls just arrived!!!! I am so excited – they are simply adorable. Uncle Clem is as cute as can be – his clothes are just fabulous! The purse is darling – you picked out a perfect one. And of course, the Belindy dolls – simply wonderful. These two are perfect and will make a wonderful addition to the Belindy family. I will send you pictures once I get them on the shelf. I have to do a little reorganizing now.
I tried to leave feedback in your guestbook but for some reason I got an error – said it could not find the page. I will keep trying.
Thanks again!!!!
Your raggedy friend,
Kim

Hi Gayle,
I will definitely remind you of the sale price if I find anything else on the sale page I would like to order. Thank you so much! I just wanted to let you know that I could not resist buying your Belindy Valentine doll on EBay. It’s mine. I was going to bid on the Raggedy Ann too so before I pay for Belindy, I what happens. She is soooooo cute! I hope all is well in Sunny CA.
Talk to you soon,
Kim

Hi Gayle,
My beautiful dolls arrived today! I left positive feedback for you on EBay. I have to tell you – I have been sick all week with bronchitis. I haven’t felt very well at all. When the dolls arrived, they really made me smile. I really needed a good smile this week. Thank you so much!
Your craftsmanship is so wonderful. I will truly treasure them all. This weekend I will have to do some serious reorganizing though so I can get them all in just the perfect spots. I will send you pics once they are all in their places.
Also, thank you for the sweet Valentine gift. That was a nice surprise. I will put the bears on the shelf with my raggedies. They are a perfect addition to the other dolls.
I treasure your friendship and hope to visit you again soon. I’ll keep an eye out for your newest creations!
P.S. Have you ever thought of creating a Georgine with the blue flowered dress and blue flowered feet? Those are so cute and so rare; I know you could sell them. Do you have a photo of them in your books?

Hi Gayle,
do you really make all those Raggedy Ann characters??????? I just couldn't believe it. I even showed my husband. I guess I never really knew the extent to your talent...and that really says something because I thought your Belindy, that I treasure, was out of this world!!!!!!!! I know you said that you are sewing like crazy, but when things calm down for you, I think I'd like to discuss with you, your doing a doll for me. I just have to have one made by you. Ann is my favorite doll in the whole world, and to have one made by you would be so special to me. Would you let me know when the time is right????? Take your time...really!

Hello Friend !
She is splendiforous! Even my son who thinks I'm nuts admits "she's NICE".
Love the way her belly hangs over her waistband. And her pantaloons tell me she
is a very respected member of the household!!!!!Yes! I do love her and now have
to find the rest of my BB collection. She is the only Georgene type I have with
the black button eyes. All my BBs of course are crafted. Love all 3 heart
patterns. If you make a camel, I just might buy it anyhow, I'm just so strung
out on everything on ebay right now I'm afraid I'll be out of cash again
You could make a great Valentine display with Eddie Elephant as
well. Why not put up Eddie???? It's too bad that so many R people are unaware
of the earlier characters. I think you should put up Eddie, and then we could
tell about the Eddie book and post ebay auctions for the Eddie book so people
know who he is. I could start an "All About Eddie" discussion and keep adding
replies to it to tell people about Eddie. Im', sure Uncle Clem would add to it.
And we could post messages that say "Eddie tells us . . ." just for fun. Eddie
Elf could go up for May, the month of the fairies. We could put Pirate up
closer to Halloween. Let's market your creations and educate the public. (Carol Sullivan)

Gayle,
Thank you very much for the story of Eddie Elephant. You provided so
much more than I could ever have expected. When my mother- in-law first
mentioned that she could not remember one or two of the names of the
characters, my first thought was to get a copy of the book for her
birthday - not knowing how difficult that would be. With your
permission I would like to print your version of the story and make it
into a nice presentation to give to her. I think that will make her
day special.
Again, many thanks.

Hi Becka !
I have been collecting as many of Gruelle's books as I can from
eBay Eddie Elephant was one that I always seemed to get
outbid
on. Finally............a few months ago I won it ............and it
inspired
me to finally make my Eddie Elephant character doll.
When I received the book, I read it straight through, but when
I got
your email............ I couldn't recall the names of the characters
either.........sooooooooooo, I read it again today...... Thanks for the
inspiration to re-read my very special storybook.
EDDIE ELEPHANT
(in my own words)
Eddie Elephant was dressed in his nicest new clothes
(red/white striped one-piece outfit)
( with matching hat )
Mama Elephant had combed his (six) hairs and
parted them right down the middle....
as she always did.
Eddie Elephant was off to visit Gran'ma Elephant
who lived far away from Jungleville.
On his journey.......he first stopped by Uncle Harry Hippopotamus'
bakery......where he was given a
great sack of delicious cream puffs........
Then on to Cousin Katy Kangaroo's Candy Store...
where he was served 6 or 7 ice cream sodas and given a large
sack of tasty candy and Cousin Katy put a pack of
gum in Eddie Elephant's pocket....
Next........he came upon Cocoa-Boy(who only had brown skin
for clothes) he had Oxen pulling a cart and it was
stuck in the mud..........so Eddie Elephant worked very
hard and pushed and pulled and pushed it out for them
Then he gave each of them a stick of gum and went
on his way
at the river he came upon Christopher Crocodile and Alonzo
Alligator ............who told him about a strange thing
they had seen going down the river earlier..making a strange
noise (there had been several men on it......
Then as he went along..........he came to where the monkeys should
be ..............but no one was there...............he
looked further down the path.......... there he found some mama
monkeys and grandpa monkey..........crying!!!
The men in the boat had carried away baby ......
Mabel Monkey, Mandy Monkey, Mickie Monkey, and
Maurice Monkey.......
Eddie Elephant surprised the men while they were eating
and frightened them away........and found the baby monkies
in a cage and saved them...........
As a "Thank You" Grandpa Monkey led Eddie Elephant
to a special place .......known only to the Monkeys ...(after swearing
him to
secrecy)......... there were beautiful flowers of
every color growing everywhere........... looking closer...they were
not flowers , but lollypops growing wild !!!
the red ones were strawberry..white was vanilla..green was lime
flavored...... yellow was lemon, pink was cherry and black was
licorice!!!
Then Grandpa monkey took him to the other side of the field where
there was a
barn...
he made Eddie Elephant shut his eyes until
he told him to open them!!
When Eddie Elephant opened his eyes he saw the loveliest blue
shiny bicycle.. with rubber tires, nickel plated wheels & handlebars
and a
bell that went "Tinkle" Tinkle"
Grandpa insisted that Eddie take it for saving the baby
monkeys.......... even though he did not want to........
He continued on his journey riding the new bike very fast and
ringing the bell as he went around curves...........
all the way to Bertram Buffalo's house
Bertram Buffalo rode the bike and just
loved it !!! Eddie needed to get on his way...........
it was getting late.......... but
he hated to ask Bertram to quit riding his bike........ because
after all...........he didn't have an...
Uncle Harry wlth a bakery.......
A cousin Katy with a candy store..
or friends to give him a shiny new bike........... so
Eddie Elephant gave the bike to Bertram Buffalo
and continued to his Gran'ma's house.........
When he arrived she fed him a HUGE dinner
She was very PROUD that he had been so kind to
all of his friends along the way
She fixed him a nice cozy bed and he went fast asleep!!
Eddie Elephant was very tired
after all the excitement along the way...
I hope this is not too long.............I thought maybe she would
enjoy a
"refresher" on the story.
Wish her a very HAPPY 80th BIRTHDAY
for me.
Raggedy smiles,
Gayle

Hi Gayle,
Just looking at your beautiful dolls, on eBay. Belindy is beautiful!
Have you ever made a "Molly'es Dolls" Raggedy Ann or Andy, or ever a
Volland, reproduction?
I have enjoyed reading about your dolls.
Thank You very much,
Kim

WOW, Gayle, they're awesome! I think I love the Exposition one the most! I
will try to visit your web-page. I am going on vacation today, but I am
very interested in buying, or ordering, directly, I can't remember how you
had listed it. I DO LOVE the Vollands and Molly-'Es you have made. I have
an old pair of original Molly'Es I bought from an elderly couple, but the
Ann's face is quite torn, but I thought they were so unusual and hard to
find, so I bought them, and I have a nice old Volland, also a bit ripped,
not badly, but yours are beautiful. I'd love to have yours to compliment
mine! I'll be in touch, I won't really have access to a computer this next
week, I'll certainly be in touch!
Thank You so much, again,
Kim

Hi Gayle:
I am so sorry that I didn't check my email until this afternoon. The black eyes and calico print are what I want. Monday shipping is fine. No matter when she arrives I will love receiving her. I told my husband that I was so happy to fine your website because now I have a resource for all the other character dolls. He is pleased because it now gives him ideas for birthday and Christmas gifts for me. So you will no doubt be hearing more from me in the future.
Thanks so much for making Beloved Belindy for me.

I received Beloved Belindy yesterday (1-2-03) and she is darling! Thank you so much for preparing her for me. She looks so sweet with my Raggedy Anns sitting in a doll cradle in our bedroom. You will be receiving additional orders from me in the future -- after I get out from under the Christrmas expenses.
Have a wonderful New Year.

Hi Gayle, I could not get the link to your website to work. Maybe you can
send it to me again. If I got a Georgene, I would want to get one as close

30" set Ann&Andy...
September 13, 2002
Good Morning, Gayle -
Think I have made up my mind!!! I am sure the set you made for your Grandaughter must be perfect, so that is the one I am deciding on.
Please make a set of 30" traditional Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for me, the same fabric as you used for your Grandaughter. I do want an embroidered face, red hair, red and white stockings, black shoes and, most definitely, the embroidered red heart on the chest of each, with "I Love You".
I am putting a check in the mail to you today, Venita

WRINKLES
October 4, 2002
Wrinkles and I have just looked over ebay together. He is seated on my
lap and cuddled
under my left arm. He is very intent on checking out possible new RA
friends on the
monitor. His eyes are wide open with wonder!
He arrived very safely today. You and UPS assured he would stay healthy
and happy
due to good shipping and packaging. We have 40MPH winds today and some
heavy
rains, but Wrinkles was packed securely in his box with another big
plastic bag sealed
around the outside of the box.
Thanks for the card and notepaper, etc. which I will use to post a page
for you in my
special RA notebook. I really like the REAL wrinkled knees which the
last "Georgene"
camel really didn't have. The squared vintage joint buttons are
absolutely perfect in
design and shape and color.
Will shop for Crooksville Annie's wardrobe fabric this weekend.
Wrinkles is kissing the screen and waving his tail at you.
Thanks again for a job artistically done!

February 10, 2004 ( RE: Wooden Willie for friend)
Hi Gayle! You can just mail the hang tag to him in an envelope with the other address - I can give him a head's up so he doesn't open his mail in front of her. She is a real character, especially around Christmas, Valentine's Day, and her birthday - she is always snooping for packages, and I just know if she saw something with "Raggedy" on it, she would talk him into giving it to her early! I suspect once she gets her Willie, they'll be ordering a lot more Raggedys from you! You know, it's a funny thing about my son - he gets frequent urinary tract infections, so he is on antibiotics quite often, and it seems that because of that, he often avoids the colds the rest of us seem to catch. But, this time he really got it bad, and I feel so sorry for him - he is so stuffy and uncomfortable. He had a high fever yesterday, which has come down, but I still might try to get him in to the doctor today. And, thanks for confirming the Belindy price for me - my girls are going to love them! They are always picking mine up and commenting about how cute she is! She just reminds me of a big old gingerbread cookie with a smiley face! When I am having a rough day, she always makes me smile! I always think about the day she was delivered, and how her cuteness made me laugh when I opened the box! Nancy has said the same thing. When she is overwhelmed, she says it is a "chocolate" day - and when she is REALLY overwhelmed - it is a "Belindy" day! Sometimes she'll call and say, "Let's pack up our Belindys and run away together!" Of course, she is kidding, but that sweet-faced Belindy sure helps! Fortunately, we are both spiritual people, and that gets us by, but I am so thankful that God brings other people into our lives - like Gayle Garbarino - who bless us with little treasures along the way! I can tell you must have an incredible sense of humor every time I look at Belindy! Well, I'd better check up on my Peter. He's probably ready for some hugs! Take care, Cindy

February 5, 2004
( Cindy O)
Hi Gayle! My name is Cindy and I purchased two Knickerbocker-inspired Belindys from you last spring. I bought one for myself, and then just had to have one for my friend, Nancy, who lives in Michigan and was going through an extremely bad time. You were kind enough to ship hers quickly to her along with a card which I sent with the payment. We both have enjoyed our dolls immensely. Later in the spring, my hubby surprised me with an original Knickerbocker Belindy. I had always wanted one, but I have to tell you, although I don't like to play favorites, yours is by far my favorite. She is every bit as beautiful (probably more beautiful), yet she lacks that "mustiness" of her older counterpart. Nevertheless, they are best friends, and I wouldn't trade either of them! I have to apologize for not getting back to you to let you know how very much Belindy is loved by my friend, Nancy. She has a huge wicker basket in her room with all her Raggedys, and Belindy is front and center! Nancy and I had met on disabilities retreat (we both have disabled children), and instantly became best friends! Soon after her crisis, when you sent her her doll, I had a crisis of my own with my son. He ended up undergoing a 15 hour surgery with complications, and I think my husband and I took longer to recover than he did! I have always felt guilty about not letting you know what a gift you have, and how much joy you bring wiith the dolls you make. Nancy is such a special person. Aside from caring for her son, she has her mother and mother-in-law, both of whom suffer from Alzhiemers living with her. There are times when I know no words can help - just send chocolate, Raggedys, and prayers! Anyhow, although it's belated, thank you so very much for your wonderful dolls. I am just getting back to normal (?), whatever that is, and I have been looking for your dolls on eBay . Do you have any for sale? I would especially love a Wooden Willy! Also, in one of your pictures, I saw what I believe to be Ann and Andy in powder blue outfits. They were with a whole bunch of your dolls, behind Arthur. Can you tell me more about them? Take care! Love you and love your dolls! -Cindy

February 6, 2004
Hi Gayle! Thanks for getting back to me so quickly! Yep, those are the Raggedys I was talking about (the brunettes). How much are they, and do you have them ready to sell? I am actaually trying to help out a friend's boyfriend. She is a Raggedy collector, and has every manufactured Raggedy known to man, so he is combing the hand-made circuit. I told him how awesome your Belindys are, and how thrilled Nancy and I have been! She loves her Raggedys in pairs - she never wants an Annie without an Andy, so I thought the brunettes were perfect, and different, because of their coloring. However, she also likes some of the more obscure characters, and I know he bought her the Applause Snitznoodle, and she was so excited (although I'm sure yours is much cuter!). So, I am sure she would die for your Willie, because there isn't a manufactured one, and that would be the last thing she's ever expect to receive, because she isn't even aware that one is made! He is actually looking for a Valentine gift, so I don't know if that is even possible. By any chance do you take charges? I'm not set up for Paypal, and I'm not sure that you would list Willie, anyhow - so other than a charge, I'm not sure how I could get the money to you immediately, so he could be shipped out right away. Also, I'm not sure you'd be able to get him stuffed that quickly! So, if you could let me know, that would be great! Wow! I can't believe you remember so much about me - you are amazing! I have spent this whole day just crying about that little girl, Carlie, who was found dead in Sarasota, and every time I hear something like that, I just keep thanking God that we still have our Peter, no matter how difficult his care is. I am blessed with a wonderful husband, who adores him, and makes my life so happy and easy! You know, I have always been dying to go to Arcola. My birthday is in May, and last year my husband was going to take us to Arcola - the kids, me, and Belindy! Anyhow, as spring approached, our son's scoliosis took a drastic turn for the worse. Gayle, When you get a chance, can you let me know about Willie, and if you think there is any possibility of getting him to the Chicago area some time next week? If not, he'd be a great gift for her birthday in May! Also, will you be making any more Willies any time soon? I sure would love one! Hey, how about creating a boyfriend for Belindy! I've got all my Raggedys in pairs, too, although I guess Andy is really Annie's brother, isn't he? Thanks again for getting back to me so quickly, Gayle! Take care, Cindy

Hi Gayle! I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you yesterday - I was at an all-day wheelchair basketball event with my son. You know, I didn't realize most ofyour dolls were that large! I guess I just assumed the would be Belindy's size! I am sure my friend would still love Willie! She collects Raggedys of any and all sizes! Wow, that is so nice of you to be so trusting - I really apreciate that! Could you send the Willie to Carl V----------- Pollitt, Elgin, IL If he got it any time this week, he'd be thrilled! I will probably see her them earlier in the week, so it would probably be best for it to go to him if it will arrive later in the week. I am so sorry if you rushed to finish the second Willie - if you ever make him smaller, I'd love one! But if you would make a beau for my Belindy, that would probably be my first choice. Actually, I would take three of them, because I know Nancy would love one, and I'd give the other two to my two Belindys! Do you have any more of your Knickerbocker-inspired Belindys? My two daughters just love ours, and they want to know who gets her when I die? So, sometime before I pass on to the next world, I'd better settle that matter and buy another Belindy from you! You know, when I got her last year, it was quite cold, so I got a little red jacket with a faux fur trimmed hood for her, and I took her everywhere with me! People truly thought I was nuts! I kept it up until my hubby bought me the old Belindy, and then I let her stay home so they could play together! I'm thinking, though, that they would really like to have some beaus around here! Do you have a name for the ones you made? I think it's hysterical that you have already made some, because as soon as I saw her, I thought, "She's so cute - she needs a boyfriend!" Great minds think alike! Well, enough silly talk - I would so appreciate it if you would send the Willie to my friends - it will be a great surprise! Would you prefer a money order to a check? Also, Gayle, if you have any Belindys available, please let me know. And, when you have time for the Beaus, I REALLY want them! Thanks so much! -Cindy

Oops! I just thought of something - when you mail Willie out, could you make sure the return address doesn't say "Not So Raggedy Acres," because my friend is kind of snoopy, and if she is with her boyfriend when it arrives, I am sure she will figure out that she is getting a Raggedy for Valentine's Day! Just your name and address, or address, would be fine. When you get a chance, please let me know if you have any more (Knickerbocker) Belindys and if you would prefer a money order. Also, I know you are very busy filling orders, but you do you have any idea how long it will be before you get to Belindy's beau? Thanks so much! -Cindy

Hi Gayle! The Henny hat looks darling! Wow, a vest AND a jacket! Would Benji be $85.00, too? That seems like an awful lot of work for that price! I am a sewer, so I appreciate your talent! I truly do want 3 of them! Is it easier for you to make multiples or one at a time? I am just wondering if you would like to make one, and then see if you would like to double the price before moving on! I love the name, too! It really goes with Belindy! Any chance you can put his eyes in the opposite direction so they can "flirt?" What can I say? I'm an uncurable romantic! You know, I don't think I'd want naugahide feet on him anyhow. He'll be a better match with fabric! Gayle, there is absolutely NO rush on this. Just to know that some day, Belindy will have her beau is exciting enough. Heck, I didn't meet my Prince Charming until I was 30! So, you do what you have to do and Belindy can wait! Do you want me to send you some money up front for fabric and notions? Thanks so much for getting that other package (Willie) out for me today. Did you tell me if you would prefer a money order? I know what you mean about the "babysitting" thing. That is my pet peeve. As hard as my hubby works (60-80 hrs/wk), he always tells me I have the harder job, and tells me to go out with my friends, or shopping with my girls. He is awesome! I am sure your son-in-law is pretty special, too, though. If it weren't for him, you wouldn't have those two "gems." Yep, my birthday is May 14th - when my birthday is on Sunday, it's Mother's Day! My friend Nancy's birthday is May 6th. My hubby's is February 16th (Monday!) and her hubby's is the 18th. I'd better do some shopping for him! I have nothing so far, and here I sit buying dolls! Got to run - I have my little guy home sick today. Take care, Cindy

Hi Gayle! I got the check in the mail. My son is really sick today, so I wasn't sure if I'd get to sneak out. I didn't have time to get a money order, but my hubby stopped home to grab a bite to eat, so I wrote a quick check, and dropped it in the corner mail box. I promise it won't bounce! Thanks again! I would like two of your Belindys if you can part with them. Would they be $182.00 - $85.00 each and $12.00 for shipping? Do you have a hard time parting with them? They are so cute, I just don't think I'd be able to sell them at any price! Thanks again! -Cindy

Beloved Belindy arrived just in time for my birthday yesterday! I was sooooo excited when the package arrived, but knew that I couldn't open her till my b-day party. My family prepared a nice homemade meal for me and a german chocolate b-day cake. After dinner and just before cake is when we get to open our gifts. Mom looked at me and said which one do you want to open first, of course I pointed to Beloved Belindy!!!!!! Although I knew what was in the box, I was still VERY excited when I first lay eyes on her! She is BEAUTIFUL!!!! She is perfect in every way! Rest assured that I will take good care of her and that she will be among loving Raggedy friends. My mother took pictures of me opening my gifts, I will borrow her camera and download the pictures to my computer. I will send you a picture of Beloved Belindy and I.
I am soooooo happy with Belindy and look forward to adopting another doll from you soon. Thank you so much! Keep in touch.

I am looking to buy replacement aprons for a couple of Raggedys that I have in my collection. I have been on your site. It is wonderful. You are one of the most talented people I have ever seen! I am having a struggle getting some of the pics and pages to come up however. Don't know quite what the issue may be. I saw some replacement clothes that you made for Becky on MSN. Let me know.

Hi Gayle,
Still packing!!!!
Sent payment via pay pal.
My hubbys pay pal...
Address it to me at same address........Of course!!!
Wow Gayle you place sounds Wonderful!!!!
My hubby is home sick today and .....LOL LOL even as we pack we discussed are we doing the right thing????????
This IS hard. SOOOO many memories here and the best neighborhood ever!!!! Just the house is old and requires constant upkeep. Also an Historical Village so you have to live by the guidelines here!
The roof is sooooo steep. My hubby went up to repair a couple slates in the roof this past summer and it scares me.
The roof on this house is all slate and been here since the house was built in 1918!!!
That good but if one has to be repaired its very dangerous.
He does everything himself.
A rare thing for us to call a repairman for anything.
I am going to love Uncle Clem.
Dont you think Uncle Clem,Woodin Willie and Belindy are a must together :).
I cant wait for Marcella :)
OHHH and your camel is sooo nice.
I gotta tell you ...........I see these other homemades on ebay and other places..... I wouldnt walk around the block for most of them . Now Phyllis,Eileen and Loretta's are very nice but the ones the other artists make are starting to look sooo goofy to me!!!
I like the traditional look in Raggedy's ........And yours are soooo realistic.
One day I will have them all!!!! :)
Gayle, Thanks sooo much!!!!

April 2003
Hello Gayle,
The dolls made it here this afternoon! They're great! Thank you so much! I've been looking at them and having a difficult time deciding which ones to give away as gifts! ........ I came up with another idea....My sister teaches dance and last weekend, it was time for her studio's annual performances of "The Nutcracker" ballet. It's a surprisingly very good and colorful, fast moving production. My husband and I always help her with various aspects of getting it all together; it's sort of a big deal, and it takes a lot of coordination and work to make it all happen!.....Anyway, today I came up with this idea.....I thought, wouldn't it be cute to have dolls, pillows or other items as some of the characters from The Nutcracker? There are so many characters: the Nutcracker, the Ballerina Doll, Clara, Godfather Drosselmeier (Drosselmeyer), the Magical Growing Christmas Tree, the Toy Soldiers and the Rat King, the Prince, the Snow Queen and her Snowflakes, the Dew Drop Flowers in the Land of Sweets, the Sugar Plum Fairy, the dancers from other countries--Spanish Hot Chocolate, Arabian Coffee, Chinese Tea, Marzipan, Russian and Mother Ginger and her Pollichinelles. What would you think about the possibility of making some of these dolls? If you would be interested, what do you think you would charge for this? I could try to get some pictures for you...... At the performances, there are real roses sold and given to the dancers afterwards, and all sorts of ballet paraphernalia is sold. We always hold a raffle of some kind, too. (Most everything is for fund raising for the studio; it's a very small business being run on a shoestring.) We had been raffling off baskets full of items for several years, then this year we decided to try something different. We had five different miniature Christmas trees that were decorated and raffled off with all sorts of gifts underneath each tree. The tree that most everybody wanted to win this year was, of course, the Ballet Tree which was mostly decorated in pink and white, with satin bows, tulle for garland and it was full of ballerinas and other ballet-related decorations.....I thought, wouldn't it be great if we had some new and different items to sell or raffle at these performances? I was thinking it would be so neat if you made little dolls, ballet slippers, roses, ornaments or something like this that we could sell or raffle. But then I thought, the cost for this might be too prohibitive. Of course, I think my sister and I would like to have some of these dolls to keep for ourselves, too! Please let me know what you think about this?! We have almost a year until the next Nutcracker shows just before next Christmas, so there's no big rush!
Thank you so much again for everything!!
Dasha

Hi Gayle,
I was wondering when you will have the following dolls to offer. Do you only
sell via e-bay or do you not take special orders? I am intereted in Mr. Minky,
Wooden Willie, and the Nice Fat Policeman. I would be interested in purchasing all three.
I am, of course, dying to see the dolls.

Hello Again Gayle~
As you can see below, I am not getting any images of the 'fabric'. I'd really like to see it... Especially now that I have to decide for my camel... I don't know if I'd want him w/ the blue hankie print for feet and ears but I guess against the white, it would look outrageous (great)! That word could go either way, ha,ha.
Yes, when I make my final decision... I'm sure I could pay them both up within 3 wks., just as long as nothing big comes along then we are fine.
I've got to get my stuff on e-bay so I can support 'my habit' I have some dolls and some old things I want to try 'my hand' at on e-bay. Now that I'm home, I'd love something like e-bay to keep me busy. I'm thinking of taking painting classes this winter and see where that takes me... these gals that paint gingerbreads and Raggedy Ann's on anything and everything, do fantastic!
So as soon as you can send that material for me to view... I then can give you my "final answer"... yes, that will be my "final answer" ha,ha.
Did you ever consider (don't think I missed it) making Raggedy Ann's doggie?
This magazine (country sampler) is one you could buy where ever you have all your popular magazines (sometimes in large chains of drugstores) and once you get it,,, then you can subscribe. I'm telling you, If you put your dolls in, you'd do fantastic! Anyone that wants to, can sell in it, but then you'd really get busy, I bet (no doubt)!
I will see what I can do to make copies of the articles on Annie and send it to you, either via e-mail or snail. It would be no problem (just have to take magazine somewhere to get it printed out :) IF I can get my hands on an issue that just past, I'll try to send it out to you. I can always send you one of my old ones but I'd love to get you the one with all the Raggedy Ann's (with Belindy) you'll flip! I'll true Gayle, that is the least I can do....
Have a good evening, (the dogs are buggin' me to go out)!

Hi Gayle,
Thanks for the pic's of all her outfits... boy you make it hard! Did you say you made one in a Gingerbread print? I have gingerbreads all in my diningroom. Do you have Belindy in that? I looked through all the pic's and didn't see the gingerbread fabric... I do like however, the blue handkerchief print... that I like real well!
I guess getting her w.the button eyes would be a good idea.
Don't know if you ever seen the Country Sampler Magazine? I think it was the last article they did an article (besides everyone's crafts for sale) on Raggedy Ann's and showed Belindy too. All the pic's of her were with the white buttons. Guess I'll go with that then to keep her original.
Take Care and Thanks again,
Elizabeth

Good Day Gayle,
I really do like Belindy (I also collect vintage Black Americana). Just really doesn't matter to me side or forward... BUT think I'd go with the older version (?) I'd really like to know your preference on Belindy? Plus I have always been wanting the (white) camel to match my older book Raggedy Ann & Andy and the Wrinkled Camel. Don't you think that would look nice together appropriate~ I thought it would make a nice 'setting'.
The ones that are up on your website... Are those the ones for sale? I see in spots where you have SOLD. I think that's where I saw your camel and I think it was w/Belindy (?) and also I noticed the 2 together had the matching materiial~ What a great idea!
You have very reasonable prices for all the work to put in dolls. . . I feel foolish even asking if you take payments! (adoption costs :)
But, it just seems when you have to make payments (as much as I wish I didn't have to but sure helps at times) it seems, you'll keep up with it instead of waiting till you have all the money in full~ sometimes that never happens (if you know what I mean :) ...always one thing or another.
I was even thinking of what you said, that making them "is time consuming"...
you really don't get paid for all your hard work!
You see, with all those wonderfully talented people... I get myself into trouble have to blame some one! (c; I'm in the process of buying a few Raggedy's (as some are then hard to get) First~ 3 homemade Raggedy Ann's that are only up for bid (one Andy) and the one by Knickerbocker (Cowboy outfits). The new Raggedy Ann Valentine one. I tell ya~ You ladies make it so easy for me to be bad... ha,ha
My husband & I just bought a house in the beautiful mountains of the Pocono's in PA. Before that we were in an apartment minus a lot of sunlight only 3 windows... I had been living in apartments all my life (not that it's a bad thing).
It had just been since almost 3 yrs. ago... this (at 43 yrs. old) is my first house ever! I have always dreamed of one day having a 'doll room' to put all my dolls in.... yeah right, as they are all over my house! I did though, enjoy decorating my guest rooms w/ all my dolls and others that were on the way... I could not ask for more!
My husband works in NYC (he commutes) and we would never have the house we have if we stayed on Long Island, just too high! But the commute for him is not bad, see he did take the bus until this happened Sept. 11th. See he works for Verizon and was right across the street for the WTC.... I am just one of the fortunate ones that got to see my husband again... even if it was not until Friday.
{Didn't mean to go all into that~ I just was gonna tell you about my new home and being in 2nd heaven (even though we are in here going on 3 yrs. :)
It would certainly be quite an honor (and I do feel) privilege to have some of your quality heirlooms dolls ( in the making :)
For now, Belindy & the white camel...
but again, do I pick from your website or do you have other (to match) colors?
Thank you for listening ]c;
A Safe, Happy & Healthy New Year,
Elizabeth @--->---

HI Gayle,
I'm sorry you have not heard from me sooner. First off, my company just left this morning. But I've having trouble gaining access to all my mail (inbox, outbox, everything). All I get is a blank screen, it's most frustrating! I don't know what is going on... I finally was able to get e-bay up on screen... that's the only way I could get ahold of you. I don't want you to think I just let things go! Your dolls speak quality, showed my sister in law (who sews) and she was very impressed with them... she knows how I am with dolls and thought they should be something added to my Raggedy Ann room. They got a kick out of it as I have one room with all my Raggedy's... The kids just loved it! I really enjoyed my nieces, as they are 2 typical little girls who love dolls and stuff animals.
I have one problem (don't worry I won't drive you too crazy) ha,ha.
I keep looking and looking at Belindy and just wasn't sure if I want to go with the darker eyes now? At first I felt positive, then I looked at Belindy in the books and see originally she came w/the white button eyes... I pretty much like to go with dolls how they 'originially' came but I think her eyes look so much warmer with the way you did them in the black. So cute!
Soooo now I'm trying to decide! Anything you'd like to add or tell me that would help me make a descision? I know it's probably a personal decision that you think one has to make... but I thought hearing it from you will help me (?) ...hate to do this to you but I'm sure you can see what I'm saying... both are nice, maybe down the road I'll just have to get both!! :)
Also, how would it be if I start to pay you by sending you the full amount for one of them? I don't have your letter to read to see exactly what you told me.
I'm hoping when my husband comes home tomorrow morning he can help me with the computer, he always does!
Happy 2002,
Elizabeth

Hi Gayle~
I'm very familiar with the gingerbread print! I have 2 dolls that came w/it! Robert Tonner dolls (if you ever heard of him). He's quite a doll designer. He made the newer Betsy McCall dolls and fashion dolls.
As a matter of fact, I have one in my dining room because of the pretty gingerbread print. . . Very country looking!
I don't expect you to send me a pix w/the camel & the blue hankie material... I know that I would like it... I love the combo of blue, white and yellow's together. But then I threw in red... Just that I was thinking about the blue hankie print on camel and then the gingerbread Belindy???
How do you think that would be? ...two different looks but maybe they will work? Well, w/ all my Annie's and Andy's (that are together) none actually match.
I'm not worried as I'm sure whatever we go with, you'll make it look great!
**I was also thinking about Paypal? Do you use it? That's another thought.... and w/all this I'm not making you all confused? Ttys,
Thanks again,
Elizabeth

Hi stranger! It has been so long since I have heard from you. I hope you are well. Are you getting ready for the holidays? I have been soooo busy with school and work, etc. I would like to get a Belindy doll if or when you have one. Cleety is getting lonely for his NSRA friends! Let me know how you are doing. Take care!!!

I have your package, and I couldn't say how I felt when I opened your box. And b/4 I forget, the clothes for Belindy Beau worked PERFECT!
I really love your Floral Foot Belindy! The fabric is ME! I love her!
I need to add a wing to my home, just to display all the character dolls I've gotten from you! But that's ok, I can live with that!
I can truly feel we made a great trade! I love everything!
so...don't think I'm going to not comment on your note enclosed in the box...a 30-36" Cleety hmmm? I WANT IT TOO ---YOU'RE KILLING ME!
Time to get ready for work. Thanks Gayle....EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL! LALLALALALLALAAAAALALA

There's plenty of things I want from you...The 2 oars would make a nice set, 1 sits vertical the other horizontal.
I want a Cleety, Eddie, and flower foot Belindy...(well actually I want each one of your dolls to make a complete collection) that would be so cool :O !

hi gayle!
no problems! no worries!! i felt bad about asking for it!!! i should have waited for your reply about payment, and i always panic when i cannot pay right then and there! i also feel bad that the 2 beautiful dolls are only for me and not a gift for someone else!!! i know you must be so busy with the holiday season!!! my 7 year old has so much going on at school, and as one of the parent helpers, and working- there doesn't seem to be enough time in the day for all of the activities!!! holiday madness!!!
thank you so very much again for your attentiveness and kindness!!! for as busy as i know you are, you are the most efficient ebayer i've ever come across!!!
i wish you all the best this holiday season to you and your family! your exquisite creations have certainly made mine!!!
with appreciation and gratitude,
